American West
American West explores landscapes shaped by geological time, erosion, tectonic uplift, geothermal activity, and environmental exposure across the deserts, canyons, mountains, plains, and river systems of the western United States. Moving from intimate sandstone formations to expansive valleys, thermal basins, isolated monoliths, and solitary trees, the collections examine how physical processes become visible in the structure of the land. Water, wind, heat, gravity, and climate continually reorganize terrain across multiple scales, revealing a landscape defined by transformation, endurance, and immense spatial breadth. Together, the works approach the American West as a territory where geology, atmosphere, and living forms remain inseparable from the experience of place.
